Marley Hillwalkers

The Marley Hillwalkers are a hiking club based in Dublin, Ireland. On Sundays, we go walking in the Dublin and Wicklow mountains. At long weekends, we hike in other parts of Ireland. We go abroad at least once a year. Recent trips have been to Britain, France, Spain, Poland and Morocco. The club is over 10 years old and has over 50 active members – though not all of them hike every weekend!

Our typical Sunday hike is from 10 to 15 kilometres, starting at 10 a.m. from our meeting place near Marley Park. Once a month we go on a longer walk of about 20 km. Every six months we draw up a new programme of walks. All walks are led by an experienced leader. We organise mountain skills training for new leaders.

New members are always welcome. Proper walking boots, waterproof clothing and a packed lunch are essential. Our membership fee is €40 per annum. For further information contact the club secretary.
The Marley Hillwalkers are members of Mountaineering Ireland (MI).
